Tube steps for the new 2007-up Wrangler JK are custom designed for the oversized features of this hot new vehicle. Unlike smaller tube designs, these large 4 1/2-inch oval tubes provide a much cleaner look and are not "dwarfed" by oversized tires and body style. Rugged Ridge painted steel Tube Steps feature special E-coated, .07" wall steel that is "thick source" powder coated for a tough chip resistant finish. The special E-coat undercoating provides double rust protection as it bonds to the metal creating a protective layer found no where else. All Rugged Ridge Tube steps feature no-drill installation for ease of installation and a truly custom fit. All Tube Step Installation brackets are constructed of durable 3/16" powder coated steel for long life and years of flex-free use. Each Tube Step features special UV treated no-slip step pads with 5 mounting pins. These step pads are installed on top of the tube - no exposed metal to rust.

Looks nice, feels sturdy and installation is easy enough for a novice.

As a first time owner of Wrangler, it took me about 2 hours to finish the installation. So, it is definitely not hard to install. The product feels stable and the fits with the heavy-duty look.
Although the menu only says "fits 09-12 model", it installs perfectly with my '13.

One tip, the only trouble I ran into is when I mistook the right-side front and mid brackets as the left-side ones. It sounds stupid but when you see the them you will know that a little extra attention is needed. But, with my mistake, it only took an extra 30 min to correct them.

Oval Side bars

Great product and fits great on my 2012 jeep wrangler - the only thing is that my jeep had pre-installed nuts on the frame for the mounting of the bars and I had to get additional bolts to mount it to the frame - by the way they are metric bolts.

Excellent Value

I researched this purchase for months; trying to find the most quality for the best price. I am convinced this is it. The instructions are kind of thin and do not accommodate the variances in different Jeep models, but the product is super well-made, the dense powder coat is rugged and slick, and the mounting brackets, which ARE included, are sturdy and fairly easy to install. Couple of tips: 1) Do yourself a HUGE favor and pickup a handheld nut driver and an allen wrench bit that's the same size as the one shipped with the product. You will save tons of time and your knuckles in doing so. Also, on my 2011 Wrangler the rear upper mount (pre-drilled into the floorboard) was one size smaller than they ship hardware for (it's 13mm, not 17mm), which means I had to go out and buy 2 of ea: Bolt, lock washer, and flat washer. Lastly, wait until you have dropped the step onto the mounts and lined up the holes before tightening all of the nuts and bolts. After the learning curve o n the passenger side, the driver's side literally took me only 20 minutes to install, about 2 hours altogether. Otherwise, I love the product! Best of luck.
