Spyder Auto Nissan Tail Lights

These lights look great and really dress up the vehicle. They are not metal, as they appear to be in the photos, but plastic. This is not a problem provided they do not fade over time. They were easy to install. I would recommend that you use the old brackets to mount the new lights as the old brackets are already bent correctly to fit the mounting holes. Overall, I recommend these lights. They are a good investment in dressing up your vehicle.

Some of the worst I have ever seen

Working in the Auto Body field for over 28 years and I have seen my share of OEM and aftermarket parts. Some aftermarket parts are not too bad. Can't say that about these lights.

The supplied mounting brackets need to be attached to these lights. The area where they attach to is very weak. They are just long tubes that the screws go into. Not enough reinforcing and that makes the area weak. Driving the screws into the plastic I had to hold onto the areas very well because they flexed so much I could foresee them breaking off. It may still happen being bolted to the truck. One of the screw holes was so small that I cracked the plastic as I slowly ran the screw down.

On both lights, the small marker light hole was too small. The stock light socket did not fit into it (these lights did NOT come with lights and sockets already installed). I had to file the holes out a bit to get the marker light socket to fit into it.

The mounting brackets di d not line up with the mounting holes in the pick-up bed. I had to tweak the brackets a little so I could get the bolts in. I though that better than trying to getting the bolt in the threads and letting the light twist the mounting studs that already are weak from no reinforcement.

Then the lights did not fit in the body well. They do have a rubber seal around them and I tried to make sure that was pushed onto the light all the way. Then I pushed on the lights so the mounting brackets would go in as far as possible. Again, I did not want to stress the already weak mounting areas by allowing them to draw the light into position.

The only reason I bought these was for the low price. Two for the price of one stock, aftermarket replacement. And its because of the low price that I give it two stars.
